Hai Phong represents bright spot in foreign investment attraction
VOV.VN - As of the end of August, the northern port city of Hai Phong had attracted nearly 500 foreign investment projects totally capitalised at nearly US$25 billion.
Regarding investment capital attraction, since the beginning of the year industrial parks and economic zones based in Hai Phong have lured more than US$2 million of foreign investment capital (FDI), marking an increase of more than 2.3 times on-year, meeting 101.6% of the yearly plan.
This represents the "sweet fruit" of a methodical strategy in actively promoting investment in the city.
Bui Ngoc Hai, deputy head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, stated that in order to attract investment, Hai Phong boasts a system of industrial parks, especially those in the Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone which is a place that enjoys outstanding connection infrastructure.
The economic zone represents the intersection of national transportation infrastructure as Hai Phong has all five types of traffic. In addition, Hai Phong pays great attention to solving problems that are bottlenecks in terms of the development of industrial parks and economic zones, which is the problem of high-quality labour, he emphasised.
