Govt & private agencies jointly hold Myanmar Insight 2017
The Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon and the Thai Business Association of Myanmar (TBAM) have co-organized a business seminar in Bangkok to update Thai investors on the new economic policy of Myanmar.
In the opening speech, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Veerasak Futrakul mentioned Myanmar’s plan to promote investment in different industries, saying Myanmar’s proximity to economic powers like China and India as well as its abundance in natural resources have contributed greatly to its fast-growing economy.
Mr. Veerasak commented that Myanmar’s new trade and investment promotion laws now better benefit foreign investors, adding that the seminar would give Thai businessmen useful information and new insights into the neighboring country’s market.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs has urged Thai investors to avail themselves of the seminar so as to come up with suitable business strategies.
