Government leader joins key sessions at Autumn Economic Forum 2025

VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has participated in the opening of the Autumn Economic Forum 2025, which convened domestic and international leaders, experts, and more than 500 businesses to discuss Vietnam’s dual transformation strategy, smart industry, green development, and digital economy.

The Autumn Economic Forum 2025 officially opened in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of November 26, attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, leaders of ministries and localities, around 30 foreign diplomatic missions in Vietnam, over 500 domestic enterprises, and numerous experts and scientists.

The forum drew 70 international delegations from innovation hubs and major corporations, six delegations from international ministries and agencies such as Australia, China, Kuwait, and Malaysia, alongside seven from major organizations, including the United Nations, IMF, ADB, and ten global Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) centers.

Stephan Mergenthaler, Managing Director of the World Economic Forum (WEF), along with WEF leaders, will participate in person and co-organized activities ranging from the plenary session and parallel discussions to a working lunch with government leaders and the high-level policy dialogue with the Prime Minister.

The morning plenary session focuses on the “dual transformation” strategy, emphasizing a human-centered approach while analyzing emerging industrial trends, the role of AI, automation, and green technologies in enhancing productivity and restructuring value chains.

Three parallel thematic sessions examine “Smart Manufacturing and Global Supply Chains,” “Smart Logistics and Ports in the Context of Dual Transformation,” and “Smart Governance in the Digital Era.”

During the working lunch, senior delegates will meet with government leaders to discuss “Cooperation for Green Goals in the Digital Era toward a Smart Economy.” The afternoon features a high-level policy dialogue between the Prime Minister and WEF leaders, under the theme Science and Technology Shaping Vietnam in the Era of Rising Potential.

Nearly 15 cooperation agreements are expected to be signed at the forum, covering green and digital sectors such as energy, logistics, artificial intelligence, and finance. Side meetings and bilateral and multilateral exchanges will further strengthen partnerships between businesses, the government, and international organizations.

The forum reaffirms Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City’s commitment to supporting enterprises, investors, scientists, and international organizations in applying science, technology, and innovation, aiming to establish the city as a leading innovation hub in Southeast Asia and a green, smart, livable megacity as a contribution to sustainable national and regional development.
