Gold bar prices reach historic high of over VND85 million per tael
VOV.VN - The price of domestic gold bars on April 26 continued its upward trajectory, climbing to a historic peak of over VND85 million per tael to surpass all previous records.
At 3 p.m. SJC gold prices were quoted at VND82.9 million per tael for buyers and VND85.1 million per tael for sellers, up VND400,000 per tael compared to the previous session.
Similarly, DOJI gold prices saw an increase of VND300,000 per tael to reach VND82.3 million and VND84.5 million per tael for buying and selling, respectively.
The price of gold bars at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company were listed at VND83.1 million and VND85 million per tael for buying and selling, up by around VND400,000 per tael over the previous session.
Furthermore, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company’s gold rings also inched up by VND200,000 higher to reach VND74.48 million and VND76.08 million per tael for buying and selling, respectively.
Elsewhere, DOJI Group bought and sold gold rings at VND74.75 million and VND76.4 million per tael, marking an increase of VND250,000 over the previous session.
Moreover, Saigon Gold and Jewelry Company bought and sold gold rings at VND73.6 million and VND75.3 million per tael, up VND200,000 for buying and selling prices compared to the previous day.
This latest sudden rise is largely fueled by the robust increases occurring in global gold prices. The price of gold on the world market was traded at US$2,344.8 per ounce on the gold exchange Kitco, up US$28 per ounce compared to the previous trading session.
