Go-Viet to start services in HCM City
Ride-hailing brand Go-Viet of Indonesian firm Go-Jek will begin operations in 12 districts in HCM City in early August, providing the ride-hailing service Go-Bike and on-demand delivery service Go-Send.

Starting August 1, Go-Viet will provide Go-Bike and Go-Send services in Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11 as well as in the Tan Binh, Phu Nhuan and Binh Thanh districts in HCM City.
Go-Viet had offered a free test of its services to 500 customers from July 18 to 25 through a program themed, “Pioneering the Discovery of Go-Viet.”
Nguyen Vu Duc, CEO and co-founder of Go-Viet, said the testing program was successful and the company had received positive feedback with high customer satisfaction. To popularize the services, Go-Viet apps will be made available for download, he added.
Go-Viet has contributed to the diversity of ride-hailing services in the local market, with Go-Jek’s technology.
The launch of its services in HCM City is part of the firm’s plan to expand its business in Southeast Asia.
The firm has so far spent US$500 million on starting services in Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines. Go-Jek had earlier obtained significant funding from Google, Warburg Pincus KKR, Tencent, Meituan-Dianping and other international investors.
