GITEX Asia 2025 in Singapore - gateway for Vietnamese businesses to go global

The National Innovation Centre of Vietnam (NIC), with support from the Tony Blair Institute and ADT Global Vietnam, on April 24 organised a national pavilion and "Vietnam Day" at the GITEX Asia 2025 technology exhibition - the largest global technology and startup investment forum in Asia.

The GITEX Asia 2025, taking place from April 23-25 at the Marina Bay Sands Convention and Exhibition Centre in Singapore, has attracted 1,000 businesses and startups from around the world, with over 20,000 high-quality technology buyers and more than 250 of the most dynamic investors from over 120 countries. More than 220 speakers from over 60 countries participated in discussions, exchanges, and networking across eight stages within the exhibition venue.

The Vietnamese pavilion showcased advanced technology products and solutions from outstanding Vietnamese enterprises. It is expected that Vietnamese businesses can connect with potential investors and partners while introducing their startups and innovative initiatives at the pavilion.

Meanwhile, the "Vietnam Day" event created an energetic atmosphere for innovative ideas.

In his opening remarks, Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Tran Phuoc Anh emphasised that the Vietnamese government has identified innovation and technology as the main drivers for breakthrough growth.

He noted that Vietnam is accelerating policies that support digital infrastructure development, empower innovative startups and expand international collaboration – reflecting the country’s strong commitment to the global innovation ecosystem.

Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of the Dubai World Trade Centre and CEO of KAOUN International, expressed her admiration for the dynamism and goals of the Vietnamese government.

She remarked that Vietnam always aims for inclusivity, which is why her organisation decided to come to Vietnam with strong support from the NIC.

On this occasion, NIC Deputy Director Kim Ngoc Thanh Nga and Trixie LohMirmand signed a Memorandum of Understanding, officially announcing the organisation of GITEX Frontier in Vietnam in 2026 and 2027. This is seen as an important milestone, opening opportunities to bring one of the world’s leading technology exhibitions to Vietnam, contributing to enhancing the country's innovation status on the international stage.

As part of the "Vietnam Day," two thematic discussions were held, focusing on leveraging Vietnam's competitive advantages in innovation and positioning Vietnam as the next innovation hub in Southeast Asia and the role of venture capital in accelerating growth in the high-tech sector in Vietnam.
