German businesses seek investment opportunities in Binh Dinh

VOV.VN - Approximately 100 German enterprises attended an investment promotion conference held on November 21 in the south-central province of Binh Dinh as part of efforts to seek ways to conduct business in the locality.

The event was co-hosted by the Binh Dinh provincial People's Committee and the German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam).

Upon addressing the event, Ho Quoc Dung, provincial party committee secretary of Binh Dinh, emphasized that both nations have overcome numerous challenges over the past 47 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties in order to become important partners.

In particular, the recent official visit to Vietnam by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz from November 13 to November 14 has opened up a new chapter for great friendship and effective co-operation between two countries, duly contributing to enhancing connectivity among businesses  moving forward, Dung noted.

The locality also used the event to introduce its advantageous export products, such as seafood, apparel, pharmaceuticals, technological equipment, tourism, and logistics to German investors, thereby providing a crucial premise for both sides looking to enhance ties in the future.

Many local business representatives also expressed their hope that German partners will seek to build further ties in the near future.

Currently, German enterprises have injected a total registered capital of over US$55 million in four projects throughout the locality, especially the high-tech emulsion and thin film factory project by KURZ Group.

German investors have also accelerated procedures as they seek to implement the offshore wind farm project by PNE Company with a total investment capital exceeding US$4.6 billion.

These projects are anticipated to provide fresh impetus for the industrial sector, one of the five growth pillars of Binh Dinh, as it seeks further development moving forward.

This comes after a delegation made up of German businesses led by Marko Walde, chief representative of the AHK Vietnam, conducted a survey at Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park (IZ) and Industrial Park A, belonging to Nhon Hoi Economic Zone.

Representatives of numerous German businesses discussed plans with investors of Becamex Industrial Park VSIP Binh Dinh and Nhon Hoi Industrial Park - Zone A about incentive policies for investment and land lease, as well as on conditions for transporting export goods through Quy Nhon seaport.
