Gamuda Land to build apartment complex in Hai Phong
VOV.VN - Gamuda Land, a major Malaysian real estate corporation, is reportedly planning to develop a new apartment project in northern Hai Phong city, marking the firm’s strategic expansion into one of Vietnam’s key economic and industrial hubs.
In mid-January, Gamuda Land Chairman Angus Liew revealed in an interview with The Star that the firm had acquired a 1.1-hectare plot of land in Hai Phong. The leading Malaysian real estate developer plans to build an apartment complex on the site, with an investment of approximately MYR1 billion (equivalent to over VND5,700 billion).
Gamuda Land, on its social media page, also confirmed the upcoming launch of the Hai Phong project following its successful developments in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Binh Duong.
The project will sit on a site on Vo Nguyen Giap street in Le Chan district, one of the city's most beautiful thoroughfares, directly across from Aeon Mall Le Chan and near prominent real estate projects developed by Hoang Huy and Vinhomes.
Liew told The Star that Gamuda Land chose this location because of its strategic advantages. The site is close to government offices, shopping centers, universities, and hospitals. In addition, future real estate supply in the city’s central area is anticipated to remain limited, which further underscores the potential of this project.
Gamuda Land entered the Vietnamese market in 2007 and has since developed several large-scale urban areas and apartment projects. Notable developments include Celadon City in Ho Chi Minh City, Artisan Park in Binh Duong, and Gamuda Gardens in Hanoi.
