Furniture trade show opens in Binh Duong with record exhibitors
VOV.VN - An annual furniture and woodworking trade show opened in the city of Thu Dau Mot in southern Binh Duong Province Wednesday, August 23, very upbeat, welcoming record 420 exhibitors.
The huge turnout of local and overseas companies with their latest products and vast array of furniture, furnishings and fittings at the Binh Duong Convention and Exhibition Centre covers thousands of square metres.
Tran Thanh Liem, vice chair of Binh Duong People’s Committee, delivered the keynote address, saying the event continues to enhance its position as one of the leading and most important furniture industry events in Southeast Asia.
As a global sourcing centre, the trade show is always changing to remain relevant in the market, Mr Liem said in his welcome speech.
As the leading global furniture sourcing hub in the region, the trade show draws representatives of 1,500 entities actively involved in the furniture and woodworking segment seeking variety, quality and fair value in products.
Vietnamese local companies from the region are beginning to move with the times, said Mr Liem.
They are investing more and more in research and development to come up with their own trademark design and new products, creating more value for their business and potential customers.
As many as 79 overseas delegations including China, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Poland, Singapore, Switzerland and Turkey are participating in this year’s trade show.
Sponsored by HAWA Corporation and Singapore based Pablo Publishing Pte Ltd, the show will include seminars on improving productivity in the woodworking industry. It will also hold a wood grading workshop.
