France acknowledges growing presence of Vietnamese businesses
VOV.VN - Vietnamese Ambassador to France Trinh Duc Hai and a delegation from the Vietnamese Embassy held a working session on March 11 at the office of FPT in the La Défense business district in Paris.
At the meeting, Ambassador Trinh Duc Hai said relations between Vietnam and France are developing extensively within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. France is the only country in the European Union to have established such a framework with Vietnam, with cooperation spanning politics, economy, science, technology, education, training and people-to-people exchanges.
Vietnamese leaders have referred to the “historical bond” between the two nations during the visit to Vietnam by French President Emmanuel Macron in May 2025, demonstrating the historical foundation and special ties between the two countries.
Within this broader relationship, the business communities of both countries are seen as an important driver of economic and technological cooperation.
Speaking at the meeting, Dang Tran Phuong said FPT considers France one of its strategic markets in Europe. After nearly two decades of operations since opening its first office in 2008, FPT has established a solid presence in the French market, with offices in Paris, Lyon, Toulouse and Marseille, while cooperating with major French corporations including Airbus, Air France and Quadient.
According to FPT leaders, in 2023 the group entered the list of the Top 100 information technology companies in France. In 2025, FPT was also the only Vietnamese enterprise invited by President Macron to attend the Choose France Summit, a high-level business conference. The invitation was seen as recognition of the growing presence and contributions of Vietnamese businesses in the French market.
In the coming years, FPT France will continue implementing projects signed with major partners while increasing investment in artificial intelligence and expanding the recruitment of technology professionals locally.
The goal is to develop FPT France into a technology company with a strong position in the local market, with growing participation by French technology specialists and talent, while maintaining annual growth of around 50% in the coming years.
FPT leaders also expressed appreciation for the support of the Vietnamese Embassy in France in connecting businesses with local partners and assisting FPT’s development in the French market. According to the company, the Ambassador’s visit and working session with the delegation reflect the support of Vietnam’s representative offices for the Vietnamese business community abroad.
