Forum to enhance competitiveness of Vietnamese export products
VOV.VN - The Ministry of Industry and Trade, in cooperation with Alibaba.com (Vietnam) Co., Ltd., will host a forum on February 3 to seek solutions to enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese export products in the global trade chain.
The forum aims to promote sustainable export development, increase added value, accelerate digital transformation, and strengthen the position and branding of Vietnamese products in the international market.
It is also among the key programmes launched at the beginning of the year in support of the Government’s target of achieving double-digit export growth this year.
During the event, Alibaba.com Vietnam representatives will present the strategic cooperation orientations, focusing on supporting Vietnamese enterprises in accessing markets through the Business-to-Business (B2B) e-commerce platform.
A central highlight will be the “Vietnam Pavilion” project on Alibaba.com for the 2026–2027 period, a flagship initiative designed to enhance the visibility, credibility, and connectivity of Vietnamese enterprises with global buyers.
The forum will feature two panel discussions. The first will address import–export policies, market development orientations, and solutions to improve value chains in key export sectors such as textiles and garments, footwear, wood and forestry products, and handicrafts.
The second panel will centre on trade promotion and international commerce, with participation from foreign trade promotion agencies, Vietnamese trade offices overseas, and leading export enterprises. Successful models of B2B e-commerce, particularly those leveraging the Alibaba.com platform, will be shared, offering practical insights and valuable lessons for the business community.
Through the exchange session, Vietnamese enterprises are anticipated to gain access to market intelligence, export support policies, and direct connections with domestic and international partners, helping them gradually enhance their capacity to integrate more deeply into the global trade chain.
