Forty enterprises with capitalisation of over US$1 billion each listed on HoSE

As many as 40 enterprises with capitalisation of over US$1 billion each had been listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) by the end of 2024, the bourse has announced.

The number of such enterprises in 2024 were two less than the figure at the end of 2023.

The Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) topped the list, with capitalisation of VND509.72 trillion (US$20.06 billion), followed by the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam with capitalisation of over VND259 trillion.

According to the HoSE, by the end of December 31, 2024, there were 527 listed stock codes, including 393 stock codes, four closed fund certificate codes, 16 ETF fund certificate codes and 114 covered warrant codes. The total volume of listed shares reached over 168.54 billion.

Listed capitalisation value reached VND5.2 quadrillion, equivalent to 50.95% of Vietnam's GDP in 2023 (GDP at current prices), and accounting for more than 93.92% of the total listed market capitalisation value.
