First locally-assembled electric scooter exported to Europe
VOV.VN - Neo's electric motorcycle model, the first electric scooter produced by Yamaha and assembled in Vietnam, is set to be exported to Europe this April.
The scooter made its debut in Europe on March 10, and the first batch of products are expected to change hands by the end of April.
Currently Yamaha has a production line in Hanoi which is set to churn out approximately 10,000 motorcycles on request in the first year.
However, the firm has yet to sell Neo’s electric scooter in Vietnam.
Powered by a removable 50.4V/19.2Ah lithium-ion battery, a hub-mounted brushless electric motor with a direct drive gives users quick and controllable acceleration, with the universal riding position making this new electric scooter ideal for riders of any size and experience.
Before Yamaha, some motorcycle manufacturers with local factories exported two-wheeled vehicles to the European, Indian, and Southeast Asian markets.
