Extra sugar import tariff quota allocated via auction
The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) will auction an additional import tariff quota for 200,000 tons of sugar for the crop year 2021-2022.
The type of sugar and quantity of additional import tariff quota for sugar would be 160,000 tons of raw sugar and 40,000 tons of refined sugar with HS codes.
The auction is scheduled to take place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on December 23, 2022, with a starting price of VND1.7 million per ton. A deposit is required for those participating in the auction.
Traders eligible for registration for the allocation of additional sugar import tariff quota via auctions for the crop year 2021-2022 use sugar directly as manufacturing materials and raw sugar to produce refined sugar.
