Exhibitors join int’l expo on support industries, processing, and manufacturing

VOV.VN - The International Expo on Support Industries and Processing - Manufacturing (VIMEXPO) 2022 kicked off in Hanoi on November 16, featuring roughly 300 stalls from over 200 exhibitors.

An array of famous brands representing the automotive industry, equipment, and spare parts are on display at the expo spanning an area of 5,000sq.m.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Pham Tuan Anh, deputy head of Industry Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said the processing and manufacturing sector has developed into a major pillar of the Vietnamese economy over recent years.

The expo serves as a bridge which can connect Vietnamese and foreign businesses, help them market their products, and seek greater investment opportunities, he noted.

Min Moonki, commerce attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam, said the expo highlights how quickly the Vietnamese support industry has developed, thereby opening up plenty of opportunities for exchanges and affairs among businesses from around the world.

Workshops will be held to highlight the numerous opportunities and challenges of the Vietnamese support industry in the global supply chain, as well as experiences in digital transformation in the manufacturing sector.

A business matching event will also take place as part of the expo to connect support industry firms and purchasers from Vietnam, the United States, Germany, Russia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and China.

Hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, VIMEXPO 2022 is the only international expo of its kind held under the Support Industry Development Programme and approved by the Prime Minister. This marks the third time that the annual event has been organised. It offers a chance for businesses to introduce their products, technologies, and investment opportunities, as well as sharing experience and setting up partnerships.
