Events to boost businesses' access to Canadian market

VOV.VN - Vietnam’s Trade Office in Canada are set to launch several programs this year to help Vietnamese processed food products enter the Canadian market.

In 2025, Vietnamese businesses will have their first opportunity to join a trade promotion delegation for processed food, visiting both the East Coast (Toronto) and West Coast (Vancouver) from April 28 to May 4.

The event is expected to provide local businesses with valuable insights into the competitive market, promote their high-quality products to Canadian consumers, and strengthen partnerships with international counterparts.

Key highlights of the initiative include the SIAL Canada exhibition, North America's largest food and beverage event, taking place from April 29 to May 1. It is regarded as a key gateway to connect with both North American and global markets.

Vietnamese businesses will also have the chance to attend seminars during the expo and engage with foreign clients at the Vietnamese booth.

Additionally, the Canada-ASEAN Business Council (CABC) will host a workshop on Indo-Pacific food supply chain connectivity from May 2 to May 3.

This platform will provide Vietnamese firms with the opportunity to present their products and build relationships with Canadian food companies, particularly those in Vancouver, one of Canada's largest urban centers.

Local businesses will also collaborate with Asian food supermarket chains and Vietnamese supermarkets operating in Canada during this occasion.

In 2025, the Canadian Trade Office will work with relevant partners to organize a delegation of representatives from Canadian supermarkets, distribution networks, and buyers to visit Vietnam for sourcing opportunities and attend major international trade fairs in the country, such as the Vietnam International Sourcing 2025 in September and the Food Expo in November in Ho Chi Minh City.
