VOV.VN - A delegation made up of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) led by Gabor Fluit, chairman of EuroCham, held a working session with leaders of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province on November 3 to gain greater insights into the locality’s business climate.
Addressing the event, Truong Quoc Huy, chairman of the Ha Nam Provincial People's Committee, emphasised that Ha Nam has invested in upgrading a synchronous infrastructure system, including its electricity supply and wastewater treatment services, to attract foreign investors.
He expressed hope that European firms would decide to invest in Ha Nam, noting that the locality is fully committed to creating the most optimal conditions possible for foreign firms to do business.
For his part, Fluit revealed that several European firms in the delegation have invested in Ha Nam and they are keen to expand production scale in the locality moving forward.
The European firms desire to learn about the technical infrastructure, preferential investment mechanisms and policies, along with priority areas to attract investment in the province, he added.
At the meeting, representatives of the European firms also raised questions on issues related to livestock waste treatment, garbage, environmental protection, and orientations for investment attraction of Ha Nam province.
The EU business delegation also conducted a field trip to learn about the actual investment and business activities at a number of firms in Chau Son Industrial Park.
