Entrepreneurs told to enhance pioneering role in international integration
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked businesspeople to promote their pioneering role in capitalizing on opportunities generated by international integration and Industry 4.0.
Chairing a meeting held between cabinet members and businesspeople on October 4 in Hanoi to mark the occasion of the Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day (October 13, 2004-2024), the Government chief emphasised that the day is to honour entrepreneurs and incentivise them to make greater contributions to the nation.
The Party, State, and Government always welcomes and supports Vietnamese businesspeople that have played a key and pioneering role in boosting socio-economic development, whilst further promoting the country’s reputation and position within the international arena, PM Chinh stressed.
Noting the growth of the contingent of Vietnamese businesspeople in terms of both quantity and quality, the PM said that many of them have secured their foothold in the region and the world as a whole.
The cabinet leader therefore asked them to renew traditional growth engines, utilize new boosters, and engage in newly-emerging trends and areas of the world.
Businesspeople and enterprises were also requested to put forth proposals to the Government and to the PM to fine-tune institutions, mechanisms, and policies, thus facilitating their operations.
They should better perform their social responsibility, play a more active role in ensuring social welfare, and continue their support of disadvantaged groups, as well as those located in remote, border, and island areas, the PM added.
He also expressed his wish that Vietnamese enterprises would develop dramatically, with the Vietnamese business community growing stronger and making more contributions to the cause of national construction and development.
