Dong Nai's first batch of durians officially shipped to China
VOV.VN - The southern province of Dong Nai on June 16 held a ceremony to announce the official exports of 360 tonnes of durians to China.
The batch of about 20 containers of Vietnamese durian was Dong Nai 's first shipment exported under the protocol signed between the province and the General Administration of Customs of China.
Addressing the event, a provincial leader said that durian is one of the main crops in the province. Therefore, the locality has focused on building specialized production areas for official durian exports with high quality and competitive prices.
Notably, the province will work hand in hand with local enterprises and farmer to together remove obstacles arising in the process of exporting agricultural products.
Dong Nai is home to 76,000ha of fruits, including more than 300 concentrated production areas with many specialty fruits, such as rambutan, durian, and mango.
The province has so far had 140 planting area codes for exports to China, Australia, New Zealand, the US, and European nations.
