Deputy PM: Government working to perfect business environment

VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue on September 13 hosted a dialogue with leaders of more than 50 global finance and technology corporations who are attending the World Economic Forum on ASEAN (WEF ASEAN) 2018.

At the dialogue, the Deputy PM highlighted the country’s remarkable socio-economic achievements of recent years and said that in order to achieve an annual growth rate of 6.5-7% in the coming years, the Government will go ahead with improving the investment and business environment so as to facilitate development and encourage businesses and people to promote their innovative startups.

Another target is to increase productivity, sharpen economic competitiveness, and boost deeper international integration towards expanded development space and an improved business environment that can keep up with international standards and rules.

Deputy PM Hue said that the Vietnamese Government is ready to hold open dialogues and listen to the ideas of domestic and foreign businesses and hopes to get their proposals on boosting economic development in a more rapid and sustainable manner and on how to better take advantage of the opportunities presented by revolution 4.0.

Participants discussed many issues of concern for international groups, cooperation opportunities and government policies and solutions for the digital economy, startup ecosystem, IT infrastructure, high-tech agriculture, smart city development, tax, insurance, logistics, and health care.
