Denmark, Vietnam target further green agriculture development

The event served to bring together both Vietnamese and Danish officials, as well as experts and enterprises operating in the agriculture and food sector who shared their experience and held dialogues on the application of technology and solutions in green agriculture and food production.

They discussed green solutions which not only improve efficiency, but also serve to enhance sustainability, new innovative methods, and technologies used in agricultural and food production.

The seminar also offered an opportunity to help Danish and Vietnamese agricultural and food companies identify potential areas of future co-operation, thereby laying the foundation for win-win collaboration efforts in the future.

Mette Ekeroth, deputy head of Mission of Denmark in Vietnam, said that green transformation in agricultural and food production has always been focused on in co-operation between the two countries.

The working trip of the Danish sustainable agriculture and food delegation is expected to help both Danish and Vietnamese agencies, organizations, and businesses in the industry meet and share knowledge and experience. This is along with promoting mutual ties, thus helping to lay the foundation for the future of the agriculture and food sector in both countries, Ekeroth emphasized.

The seminar took place as part of the long-term Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) programme between the two countries which aims to support Vietnam in the process of transforming agricultural and food production towards green and sustainability.

During the co-operation process, both nations’ organizations and businesses will be able to find new ways to boost ties and exchange ideas as a means of promoting a stronger green transition moving forward.
