Da Nang leaders discuss cooperation with Singapore group in digital infrastructure
VOV.VN - Leaders of the central city of Da Nang had a working session with representatives from Singapore's Sembcorp Industries on July 23 to discuss investment in industrial infrastructure, digital infrastructure, and a free trade zone.
During the working session, Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, asked relevant departments to coordinate with Sembcorp to expedite procedures and support project implementation, particularly in high-tech development and the digital economy.
Regarding Sembcorp's proposal to build a data center, city leaders requested the group to further clarify the project's scale, necessity, and alignment with Da Nang's master development plan.
The municipal leaders also suggested that VSIP Group, a joint venture involving Sembcorp, establish an office in Da Nang to facilitate direct coordination with local agencies and promptly resolve any arising obstacles.
Representatives from Sembcorp Industries pledged to accelerate investment research and project execution in Da Nang, with a focus on data centers and artificial intelligence (AI).
