CPV Food to export first batch of processed chicken to Japan
VOV.VN - CPV Food, a member of C.P Vietnam Livestock JSC, is set to ship its first batch of processed local chicken to the Japanese market in October.
This will mark the first time that CPV Food's chicken has successfully made inroads into the Japanese market, a factor which will provide fresh impetus for CPV Food’s brand of chicken to penetrate other international markets in the future.
A representative of CPV Food in the southern province Binh Phuoc said the company has now fully competed procedures to export its processed chicken products to Japan, adding that the ceremony to ship the first batch is expected to be held in October.
The Department of Animal Health under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development recently co-ordinated with CPV Food to organise programmes to supervise food safety supply chains aimed at ensuring processing facilities comply with stringent hygiene requirements set by Japanese importers.
According to the schedule, representatives of the Department of Animal Health will present "Health Certificate" to CPV Food in late October, thereby marking the first time CPV Food’s brand of Vietnamese chicken has penetrated the Japanese market.
From May 31 to June 3 the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) sent a veterinary inspection team to CPV Food's production facility in Binh Phuoc. in a bid to evaluate the production chain of processed chicken specifically for export.
On August 30, an inspection team from MAFF then sent an official dispatch, affirming that CPV Food Co., Ltd. have ensured the MAFF’s veterinary hygiene requirements for export to the Japanese market are met.
CPV Food was inaugurated in December, 2020, with the firm boasting the largest and most modern complex of livestock and chicken processing factories in the nation. Located in Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial Park in Binh Phuoc province, the site has seen an investment capital of US$250 million.
