CP Group of Thailand appreciative of Vietnamese market

VOV.VN - Dhanin Chearavanont, senior chairman of Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Group Co., Ltd. (C.P. Group), has assessed that Vietnam represents the most attractive and potential market in Southeast Asia, pledging to continue prioritizing investment expansion in the country in the near future.

This assessment was made by Chearavanont during a meeting held between Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Phan Chi Thanh and CP Group on April 18 to discuss a host of measures aimed at promoting the group's investment in the country moving forward.

During the course of the meeting, CP Group leaders briefed Ambassador Thanh on production and business activities of the group.

The firm represents the largest agri-food enterprise in Thailand and the fourth largest in the world, with major production segments including producing animal feed and raising broiler chickens, pork, and shrimp.

In response, Ambassador Thanh affirmed the important role of foreign investment in Vietnamese economic growth, suggesting that CP Group and C.P.

Vietnam continues to expand investment and business activities, use advanced technologies, and promote digital transformation. This will contribute to bringing benefits to both countries.

CP Group's first investment in the nation was made back in 1993 through C.P. Vietnam which operates in the field of agro-industry and closed food.

This is the largest agricultural enterprise in the country with more than 30,000 employees.

In 2020, CP Group inaugurated a chicken processing factory for exports in Binh Duong province, with the site boasting a capacity of 50 million heads/year in phase one and towards a capacity of 100 million heads/year in phase two.
