Coca-Cola inaugurates US$136 million flagship factory in Vietnam

VOV.VN - Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam Limited, a subsidiary of Swire Coca-Cola Group, on July 11 inaugurated its largest and most advanced production facility in Vietnam.

Covering an area of 19 hectares in Phu An Thanh Industrial Park, Tay Ninh province, the US$136 million flagship facility is now the largest of Coca-Cola Vietnam’s three modern plants. It is equipped with five cutting-edge production and bottling lines, boasting a total annual capacity of up to one billion liters.

The factory will focus on Coca-Cola’s most popular beverage lines and is the first food and beverage facility in Vietnam to achieve LEED Gold certification, underscoring Coca-Cola’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The new factory, one of Coca-Cola’s most advanced production hubs globally, underscores the firm’s long-term commitment to the Vietnamese market and its strong belief in the country’s dynamic growth potential, said Milly Cheng, CEO of Coca-Cola Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Deputy Finance Minister Nguyen Duc Tam hailed the inauguration as a key milestone in Coca-Cola’s journey in Vietnam.

The launch of this facility will make a meaningful contribution to Tay Ninh’s socio-economic development and enhance the province’s attractiveness to global investors, he said.

It also highlights Vietnam’s increasing global integration and the appeal of its investment environment in this new era of development, he added.

The Deputy Finance Minister reaffirmed the Vietnamese Government’s ongoing commitment to supporting investors and creating a favourable environment for stable and sustainable business growth. He also encouraged Coca-Cola Vietnam to continue strengthening the local business ecosystem by fostering partnerships with Vietnamese suppliers and enterprises.

Nguyen Van Ut, chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, welcomed the investment as a demonstration of international investor confidence.

This inauguration marks a significant milestone in Swire Coca-Cola Group’s expansion strategy in Vietnam. It also reflects the trust of international partners, including from the US and UK, in Tay Ninh’s transparent, business-friendly, and dynamic investment climate, he stated.
