Canada – Vietnam trade up in nine months

(VOV) -The Canada – Vietnam two-way trade increased significantly in the first nine months of this year, hitting US$2.8 billion, reprorts Canada’s statistics agency.
Vietnam’s exports to Canada in the reviewed period grew 31.4% to US$2.399 billion while Canada exported US$416 million worth of goods to Vietnam, up 41.2%.
The Southeast Asian nation's staple exports include wooden products, clothing, footwear, seafood, printers, electric cables, telephones, telecom equipment, coffee, cashew, transport vehicles and spare parts, rubber, plastic products, vegetables and fruits.
Canada ships to Vietnam fertilizer, seafood, soybean, wheat, iron and steel products, diamond, animal leather, machinery, artificial rubber, plastic materials, pharmaceuticals, beef, milk products, zinc and zinc alloy, nickel and aluminium.
