Asia Fashion Show 2025 elevates Vietnamese brands on global supply chain
VOV.VN - The Asia Fashion Show 2025 (AFS) opened in Ho Chi Minh City on December 5, bringing together more than 200 companies and industry associations from Vietnam, China, Thailand, Malaysia, India and the Republic of Korea.
The three-day exhibition that features over 300 booths showcases the full spectrum of the Asian fashion value chain, including handbags, footwear, apparel, fashion accessories, leather materials, and cosmetics, reflecting the region’s diverse production capacity and adherence to international standards.
Beyond the exhibition, AFS 2025 includes specialised activities such as brand presentations, runway shows, networking sessions, and meetings with international industry associations. These initiatives help businesses better understand market trends, identify cooperation opportunities, and expand their network of regional partners.
The strong presence of regulators, trade promotion agencies and foreign businesses at AFS reflects the growing demand in Vietnam’s expanding consumer and fashion market, said Bui Thi Ninh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce Industry - Ho Chi Minh City branch.
Bui emphasised that the textile, footwear, and fashion serve as a key driver of GDP growth, export turnover, and employment. Vietnam has consistently ranked among the world’s top five exporters in these sectors, generating annual revenue of tens of billions of US dollars and securing its position in the global supply chain.
With the global market projected to continue recovering in 2025, Vietnamese enterprises are increasingly focusing on innovation, sustainable and eco-friendly fashion products, and building unique brand value. In addition to exports, the domestic market of over 100 million consumers represents a growing consumer base. Many Vietnamese brands have demonstrated strong design, production, and branding capabilities, offering diverse fashion, accessory, and healthcare products to meet rising consumer demand.
Leveraging digital transformation, e-commerce, shifts in the global supply chain, and growing consumer preference for quality and safe products, Bui stressed that Vietnam’s fashion and consumer goods sector is poised to sustain strong growth in the coming years.
Following the success of its inaugural edition in 2024, this year’s exhibition is expected to attract more than 13,000 visitors, including brand owners, distributors, wholesalers, e-commerce operators, and major retail systems.
The Asia Fashion Show 2025 is being organised by QIYA Exhibition in collaboration with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS), the Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association (LEFASO), and other related organisations.
