Another Vietnamese rice brand enters Japanese market

VOV.VN - Tan Long Group Joint Stock Company (Tan Long Group), in collaboration with Japan’s Kiraboshi Bank, hosted a ceremony in Tokyo on October 9 to launch the A An rice, the second Vietnamese rice brand in the Japanese market.

With active support from Japan’s Kiraboshi Bank and the Vietnam Trade Office in Japan, Tan Long has exported 1,000 tonnes of high-quality JAPONICA rice under the A An brand to the Japanese market since the beginning of October.

Ta Duc Minh, Vietnam’s Trade Counselor in Japan, revealed that after receiving the request from Japanese partners, the Vietnamese Trade Office in Japan in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade has compiled a list of a number of potential local companies eligible to export rice to Japan.

“After studying import regulations, quality requirements, tastes of Japanese consumers, the partners have begun to import rice from Vietnam,” he said, adding the Trade Office is coordinating with other partners to promote rice imports.

Tan Long - A AN rice has continued to affirm its position as the only Vietnamese domestic rice brand which meets the inspection standards set by one of the most demanding markets in the world, thereby enhancing the value of Vietnamese agricultural products within the international market.

In addition, the trade office has also introduced the rice product to several wholesalers in Japan for distribution throughout the Far East nation, Minh added.
