Accelerating New Business Model in the Deep South
The Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC) is joining hands with the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) in enhancing the capabilities of local young entrepreneurs in order to accelerate the development of a new business model in the deep South.
The two agencies have also cooperated with various educational institutions and research units to develop the potential of local young entrepreneurs in applying science, technology, and innovation for rapid growth of their businesses.
Participants in the program have played an important role in both SMEs and startups in the deep South of Thailand. They were urged to disseminate knowledge gained from this program to other entrepreneurs, as well, in order to bring about the greater ecological system of innovation at the regional level.
SBPAC Secretary-General Rear Admiral Somkiat Pholprayoon said that the Deep South Innovation Business Coaching Program was intended to encourage young entrepreneurs and other business people to use innovation as a major tool to create higher value for their products and services, in line with the Government’s policy.
This would help stimulate the local economy of the southern border provinces and develop young people to help tackle problems in the deep South through economic development, he said.
