560 Vietnamese and RoK enterprises attend KBEE Hanoi 2022

The two-day event was co-hosted by the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and the Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Company (Vinexad).

The expo is part of a range of activities aimed at celebrating the 30th anniversary since the establishment of Vietnam-RoK diplomatic relations, with the aim of helping businesses to seek potential partners through direct trade programmes and promote the Korean wave of "Hallyu" culture through impressive art performances.

Most notably, the highlight of the event will be Business Matching Program, featuring the participation of 110 leading Korean enterprises and brands in the fields of cosmetics - beauty equipment, food – supplementary food, beverages, household utensils, and mechanical - electrical household appliances.

This is in addition to consumer goods, hospital services and plastic surgery, digital technology and smart education, as well as cultural products such as music, movies, and K-Pop trend products.

As part of his opening session, representative of the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy Park Jae Young, said that since 2010, KBEE has become the RoK’s most typical exhibition abroad. Indeed, the event provides an ideal venue for visitors to experience Korean products, gain fresh insights into the Korean cultural wave, whilst opening up new co-operation opportunities for businesses.

Currently, the nation represents one of the RoK’s three largest trading partners with the two countries aiming to raise bilateral trade turnover to US$100 billion by 2023, he said.

The RoK Government is fully committed to continuing to expand investment and trade exchanges with Vietnam in multiple areas, with this being achieved by diversifying the supply chain of raw materials, spare parts, as well as developing high-tech industries as well as environmentally friendly energy, he noted.
