461 exhibitors from 20 countries attend Automechanika 2023
VOV.VN - As many as 461 exhibitors from 20 countries and territories globally are attending Automechanika 2023, a regional trade fair held for the automotive service industry, which opened at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City on June 23.
Businesses from Germany, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan (China), Japan, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, and others are showcasing the latest range of products, solutions and know-how for the passenger, commercial vehicle, and motorcycle sectors. In addition, participating firms are also focusing on automotive manufacturing and automation.
Exhibitors are also displaying auto parts, accessories and customising, alternative drive systems and fuels, electronics and connectivity, tires and wheels, diagnostics and repair, car wash and care, the IoT, and logistics.
According to representative of the organising board, Fiona Chiew, general manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, said that this year an increasing number of international participants at the event shows the automobile market in Vietnam has attracted foreign businesses. Indeed, the country is increasingly becoming an important link in the global supply chain.
She noted that domestic automobile manufacturing and assembling enterprises have gradually affirmed their role and position within the domestic automobile market and have made strong development in both quantity and quality.
The country’s automotive industry is on track to achieve 25% compound annual growth between 2020 and 2025 driven by the growing economy, supportive tax incentives, and rising infrastructure investment.
The Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association forecasts that sales can reach one million vehicles by 2028 and 3.5 million ahead by 2040.
Within the framework of the expo, an automotive manufacturing, transformation, and automation conference will also be held, presenting recent trends and opportunities, as well as providing information about the use of robotics and solutions for smart factories.
The event, co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, Chan Chao International Co Ltd, and Yorkers Exhibition Service Vietnam, is scheduled to last until June 25.
