2018 a strong year for business as 97 businesses achieve status as national brand
VOV.VN - Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade), under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, held a meeting in Hanoi on December 12 to announce businesses who have achieved national brands during 2018.
Vu Ba Phu, director of Vietrade, said 1,500 enterprises have registered for participation in the Vietnam National Brand Programme. Organizers have selected 97 businesses that have achieved national brands over the course of theyear, an overall increase of 9 businesses compared to 2016.
Mr Phu emphasized that the Vietnam National Brand Programme, which was approved by the Prime Minister back in November 25, 2003, has been the Vietnamese Government’s only programme aimed at promoting the country’s image and trademark through products and services.
In the context of integrating within the world’s economy and opportunities presented by Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), Vietnamese businesses have faced a number of challenges.
The Vietnam National Brand Programme is of great significance to help businesses sharpen their competitive edge in the domestic market, improve product quality and promote their brands for export.
