200 firms join Vietshrimp Asia 2026 and Aquaculture Vietnam 2026
VOV.VN - The international shrimp and aquaculture trade shows Vietshrimp Asia 2026 and Aquaculture Vietnam 2026 opened in Ho Chi Minh City on March 18, attracting nearly 200 companies from 20 countries and territories to showcase smart aquaculture technologies and AI-driven solutions.
Vietshrimp Asia 2026 and Aquaculture Vietnam 2026 span across 8,800 m² of exhibition space, featuring specialised zones that cover the full aquaculture value chain, from broodstock and feed to advanced farming technologies and support solutions.
The exhibitions aim to drive data-driven production and digital transformation across the industry. They introduce solutions in nutrition, feed, and functional additives designed to optimise feed conversion, enhance immunity, and support sustainable development. Advanced technologies and smart farming solutions, including automation, environmental monitoring, water treatment, and AI applications, demonstrate ways to increase productivity and efficiency. In addition, services supporting production and trade, such as logistics, certification, inspection, digital solutions, and networking platforms, provide businesses with opportunities to strengthen their position in the global aquaculture value chain.
According to Ben Wong, CEO of Informa Markets Vietnam, 2026 marks a milestone as Vietshrimp expands into VietShrimp Asia and is co-located with Aquaculture Vietnam, making it the largest and most international edition to date. The event also hosts over 50 technical conferences and workshops, covering AI applications, environmental management, productivity improvement, and sustainable value chain development.
Aquaculture plays an important role in Vietnam’s exports ever year. In 2025 alone, Vietnam produced nearly 10 million tonnes of seafood, with exports reaching US$11.3 billion. In the first two months of 2026, seafood exports increased 23% year on year.
The two exhibitions provide a platform for companies to access new technologies, expand partnerships, and enhance their position in the global aquaculture value chain, with an expected attendance of around 7,000 visitors for B2B networking.
