170 foreign businesses gather at Tay Ninh supply chain networking forum
VOV.VN - More than 170 businesses from 25 countries and territories gathered in Tay Ninh province on September 5 to explore opportunities to connect production, markets, logistics and supply chains, creating new prospects for exports.
The fourth Tay Ninh e-commerce and export-import supply chain networking forum 2026 attracted many international distribution, retail, and e-commerce corporations such as Central Retail, H&M, Lulu, Mixue, Spinneys, Lootah, and Amazon.
Speaking at the conference, Le Van Han, chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, noted that global trade is undergoing rapid change and supply chains are being restructured, while e-commerce and technology are transforming methods of production, distribution, and market access.
Competitive advantages are no longer determined solely by production capacity, but increasingly by connectivity, logistics quality, market access and the ability to create added value. Connectivity initiatives therefore need to deliver tangible economic benefits.
In 2025, Tay Ninh's total import-export turnover reached US$31.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%, with exports accounting for US$17.8 billion. The province currently possesses over 18,000 hectares of industrial land across 51 industrial zones and 60 industrial clusters, including more than 1,400 hectares of ready-to-use industrial land available for investors.
Building on these advantages, Tay Ninh has identified four key connectivity priorities, namely linking businesses with businesses; production with markets; goods with supply chains and logistics; and Tay Ninh with domestic and international markets. The aim is to create more opportunities for local businesses to connect with distributors and international partners, expand their markets and participate more deeply in value chains.
The province has pledged to continue improving its investment and business environment, developing industrial, commercial and logistics infrastructure, promoting digital transformation and supporting businesses in expanding markets and improving their competitiveness.
In her speech, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang urged Tay Ninh to address business concerns, mobilise resources to support production and exports, create a transparent and business-friendly investment environment, and develop concrete plans to implement cooperation agreements reached at the conference.
In the long term, Tay Ninh should continue investing in logistics infrastructure and services, capitalise on the advantages of its border economy, diversify export markets and make effective use of free trade agreements, she suggested.
The province was also encouraged to accelerate green transformation, develop a circular economy and digital transformation, promote cross-border e-commerce and attract more high-quality, in-depth investment.
