Lawmakers have evaluated that the 14th National Assembly (NA)’s fifth session, which concluded in Hanoi on June 15, was organised scientifically and efficiently.
Legislators passed the law amending and supplementing a number of articles of laws relating to the Planning Law on June 15, also the last working day of the fifth meeting of the 14th National Assembly.
The 14th National Assembly completed its working agenda of the fifth session with numerous important issues under discussion during 21 days, said NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan at the closing ceremony in Hanoi on June 15.
The fifth meeting of the 14th National Assembly will conclude in Hanoi on June 15 after 21 days of working.
The draft law on special administrative-economic units was built with the aim of creating breakthroughs and new development momentum for the economy and capitalizing on advantages of localities, said Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang.
The Law on Cyber Security is in conformity with the Constitution and does not hamper the implementation of the international treaties to which Vietnam is a party, said Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang.
The National Assembly convened a plenary session under the chair of NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on June 12, passing two resolutions and three bills.
The National Assembly passed a resolution approving the State budget balance in 2016 and another on the NA’s supervision programme for 2019 during its sitting in the morning of June 12.
The National Assembly is slated to adopt two resolutions and three laws during its morning sitting on June 12, part of the on-going fifth session.
The National Assembly on June 11 discussed several draft laws and voted to adjust the NA’s closing session programme under the chair of NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
