Top legislator pays tribute to fallen soldiers

Politburo member and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on July 24 paid tribute to fallen soldiers at the Ben Duoc Memorial Temple and the Sai Gon-Cho Lon-Gia Dinh Revolution Memorial Complex in Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City, on the occasion of the 72nd War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

The Ben Duoc Memorial Temple honours 45,000 heroes and martyrs who died during the resistance wars against France and the US. 

Meanwhile, the Sai Gon-Cho Lon-Gia Dinh Revolution Memorial Complex was inaugurated in December 2015 in memory of contributions of residents and soldiers in the region of the same name to national revolution.

Later the same day, the top legislator visited and presented gifts to a Heroic Vietnamese Mother in Trung Lap Thuong commune, a martyr’s mother in Phuoc Thanh commune, and a sick soldier in Thai My commune. 

She affirmed that the Party, State and people always bear in mind the great contributions by revolutionary predecessors, martyrs and soldiers to the nation.
