Theoretical Council convenes seventh meeting

The Theoretical Council of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, the 2016-2021 tenure, convened its seventh meeting in Hanoi on August 10.

The session focused its discussion on a draft advisory report on the theoretical and practical issues of the Vietnam sea strategy.

Participants also gave feedback on a draft report on the council’s performance in the first six months of 2018 and working plans for the remainder of the year.

Nguyen Xuan Thang, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and Chairman of the council, said the report highlighted the council’s achievements and shortcomings in January-June.

It also defines nine tasks and four solutions to improve the council’s performance in the second half of the year, he added.

The official suggested collecting opinions raised at the event to complete and improve the quality of the reports for submission to the upcoming eighth meeting of the 12th CPV Central Committee.
