Representative agencies urged to contribute to foreign information service
VOV.VN - On June 21, the Head of the Central Communications and Education Commission Vo Van Thuong met with chief representatives of Vietnamese agencies for the 2016-2019 term in Hanoi.
He said that Vietnam’s great achievements and increased global status in recent years are partly thanks to the contributions made by Vietnamese diplomatic and representative agencies abroad and an effective foreign information service.
“The resolution of the 12th National Party Congress predicted complicated regional and global situations, which required greater efforts in all areas, including economics, politics, security, national defense, and external relations.
Chief representatives of Vietnamese diplomatic agencies abroad should help to promote Vietnam’s image to international friends as this is one of the prime objectives of the foreign information service,” he added.
Thuong expressed his belief that heads of representative Vietnamese agencies for 2016-2019 will successfully fulfill tasks assigned by the Party and State, contributing to the nation-building process in the new period.
