Prime Minister appoints new deputy ministers

The Prime Minister has recently issued decisions on the appointment of new Deputy Foreign Minister and Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Under Decision No.1187/QD-TTg, head of the Foreign Ministry’s Foreign Policy Department Nguyen Minh Vu was appointed as Deputy Foreign Minister.

Before becoming head of the department in March 2018, Vu served as permanent deputy head of the APEC National Secretariat 2017.

Accordingly, the Foreign Ministry now has six deputy ministers, namely Bui Thanh Son, Le Hoai Trung, Nguyen Quoc Cuong, Nguyen Quoc Dung, To Anh Dung and Nguyen Minh Vu.

Under Decision No.1195/QD-TTg, the PM appointed Le Van Thanh, member of the Quang Nam provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, as Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Thanh, 55, previously held the post of head of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs’ Department of Social Vices Prevention and Combat and was elected as Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee in May 2014.
