PM underlines top priority for trade facilitation
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has demanded ministries and government agencies not to impose any business conditions that hinder trade and investment.
The cabinet leader told the regular monthly meeting on July 4 that trade facilitation is currently a top priority for Vietnam.
The meeting centered around the enforcement of regulations on land, housing, investment, business, and planning.
The Prime Minister also urged for further decentralization to push up the disbursement of public investment capital.
Institutional building in this field must be focused on measures to improve national business climate and competitiveness, he noted.
Regarding the draft Planning Law, the PM requested the avoidance of overlapping in planning work, which, he said, would lead to wastefulness and inefficiency.
Concerning the Public Investment Law, he assigned the Ministry of Planning and Investment to coordinate with relevant ministries to review the draft law and report outstanding problems to the Government before July 30, in order to submit them to the NA Standing Committee and the NA for adjustments.
The government leader also called for greater attention to problems hindering the disbursement of public investment capital over the past time, saying that they should be tackled in order to make it easier for decentralisation, management and empowerment of ministries, agencies and localities, he said.
At the meeting, cabinet members touched upon the draft Law on State Secrets, the draft amended Law on National Defence and the draft amended law amending and supplementing several articles of the Law on Judicial Records, along with a draft decree amending and supplementing several articles of Decree 67 on measures to enforce the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms.
