PM fully expects OVs’ greater contributions to national development

VOV.VN -The Party and State of Vietnam always consider the overseas Vietnamese community an integral part of the nation, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said, while voicing his hope that Vietnamese expats would continue making practical contributions to national development.

At a reception in Hanoi on November 28 for Chairman of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese (OV) Nguyen Phu Binh, PM Phuc applauded the substantial contributions to and fine sentiments towards the homeland by the over 4 million OV community.

He suggested the association do more work to inspire national pride and patriotism in young OV intellectuals. 

In reply, Ambassador Binh asked the State to adopt incentive policies aimed at attracting more Vietnamese intellectuals abroad, especially businesspeople and scientists. 

PM Phuc echoed Binh’s views as saying that the State has always paid special attention to the OV community, and stayed ready to create optimal conditions for Vietnamese living and working abroad to make greater contributions to the country.
