(VOV) - A delegation of Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) leaders have laid floral tributes at the mausoleum of the late President Ho Chi Minh in Hanoi to commemorate 1972 Hanoi-Dien Bien Phu air battle victory on December 29.
The ceremony’s attendees included Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, State President Truong Tan Sang, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, and President of the VFF Central Committee Huynh Dam.
Participants expressed gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh for his defining contributions to the nation’s, the Party’s, and the people’s glorious revolutionary cause.
The ceremony also featured a wreath laying and incense offering at the Martyrs’ Monument near President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, recognising their sacrifice in the name of national independence and freedom.
The delegation attended Hanoi’s National Convention Centre for a grand meeting on the same day, again honouring the 40th anniversary of the “Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the Air” battle victory.
