Party members overseas follow National Party Congress
VOV.VN -Vietnamese Party members abroad followed the opening ceremony of the 12th National Party Congress via the media.
Duong Van Hieu, an IT researcher in Thailand said, “I listened to Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong’s presentation of the report via the Internet. I agree with the targets set in the report and hope that they will be achieved over the next 5 years.”
Do Tien Sy, a researcher of construction management in Thailand, said he hopes the Congress will devise important socio-economic development policies amid Vietnam’s extensive international integration.
“We joined the ASEAN Community and signed the TPP in 2015. I hope that policies to be mapped out by the Congress will stimulate Vietnam’s economy to match its socialist regime. The Congress should discuss and propose policies to increase the effectiveness of Vietnam’s international integration,” he said.
Lam Ngoc Hung, chief representative of Vietnamese alumni in Laos said,“We expect that the Congress will elect competent people with political firmness and good morality, who will be able to propose reform policies in education, economics, national defense, and security.”
