Party chief pays tribute to President Ho Chi Minh

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong offered incense to late President Ho Chi Minh at Da Chong (K9) historical relic site in Hanoi’s outlying Ba Vi district on February 11.

The incense offering is in line with Vietnam’s tradition of paying tribute to ancestors and those who contributed to the nation on the occasion of the lunar New Year.

The relic site is located about 70km from downtown Hanoi to the west on the Ba Vi mountain range.

In May 1957, President Ho Chi Minh decided to choose it as a place to work and rest for the Party Central Committee.

Many decisions and instructions of the Party Central Committee were issued here, contributing to the liberation of the South and the national reunification in 1975.

On this occasion, the Party chief planted a tree in front of President Ho Chi Minh’s house for working at the relic site.
