Party chief extends Tet greetings to former Party and State leaders
VOV.VN - On February 3, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong extended New Year greetings to former leaders of the Party, State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), and central agencies.
He said that Vietnam’s achievements in 2015 had contributed significantly to its success over the last 5 years especially with the implementation of the 11th National Party Congress’s resolution.
He said that 2016 is the first year of implementing the 12th National Party Congress’s resolution and the 5-year socio-economic development plan until 2020.
The election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels will also be held this year.
“Efforts will be made to achieve socio-economic development targets, stabilize the macro-economy, and remove obstacles to production. Priority will continue to be given to economic restructuring, changing the growth model, and increasing competitiveness. We should continue to boost development in culture, education, science, technology, environmental protection, and social security while consolidating national defense and security, ensuring political security, social order, and a peaceful and stable environment for development,” he said.
The Party chief called for strengthened national unity and patriotism in the interests of Vietnam’s prosperity.
