National Party Congress adopts working regulations
(VOV) - Delegates unanimously voted to adopt the working regulations, working agenda, and election regulations at the 12th National Party Congress taking place in Hanoi from January 20-28.
On January 20,Politburo member and President Truong Tan Sang, on behalf of the Politburo and the congress presidium, presided over the preparatory session of the 12th National Party Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) in Hanoi.
The Congress elected the Presidium with 16 Politburo members and Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Ha Thi Khiet.
General Secretary of the 11th Party Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong was elected as Chairman of the Presidium.
It also elected a five-member Secretariat and the Delegate Eligibility Appraisal Board with 13 members.
The Congress approved with unanimity the report verifying the eligibility of delegates to the 12 th National Party Congress.
Accordingly, all 1,510 delegates to the event were qualified for the position.
