National Assembly concludes third plenary session
VOV.VN - On Wednesday, June 21, the National Assembly passed a government bill containing new rules to strengthen food safety, concluding the legislative business of the third plenary session of the 14th NA.
The month-long session has addressed many critical issues says NA Chair Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan in her closing remarks. |
Chief among them is an amended law on the management and use of state assets, new resolution of the bank bad debt crisis and new rules to strengthen food safety. |
The session has been conducted with a spirit of innovation, solidarity, creativity and action by National Assembly deputies who actively discussed, debated and contributed their ideas with respect to their legislative work. |
All told, she says, the National Assembly passed 12 laws, 12 resolutions and commented on six other bills. |
The National Assembly also took time to review Government reports on the additional assessment of the performance of socio-economic tasks in 2016 and the socio-economic development plan for the early months of 2017. |

In this session, the National Assembly has also approved the state budget finalization in 2015 requiring the Government to strengthen its control over the state budget. |
