National Assembly closes Q&A session
(VOV) -On November 18, the National Assembly (NA) concluded its Q&A session during which top legislator Nguyen Sinh Hung and six ministers responded to deputies’ questions over the past two days.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said the government is accelerating administrative reform to better serve people and businesses, and improve the national investment environment and competitiveness.
"The government is setting up a master plan for the next 15 years, and action plans for the next 5 years and for every year, in which national socio-economic development plans are integrated with sustainable development goals and specific priorities are set for certain periods and are appropriate for Vietnam’s development," Dung said.
The cabinet leader said the Party and State will adopt a multidimensional approach to poverty reduction as this is one of Vietnam’s sustainable development goals.
Vietnam is doing its best to improve its friendship and cooperation in all fields with China on the basis of equality and for mutual interests and development. He added that Vietnam is determined to defend its independence, territorial integrity and national interests in accordance with the Party’s resolutions and guidelines, the national Constitution, international law, and the UN Charter, he added.
NA Deputy Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son said, "The Q&A session took place in a democratic, frank, and constructive manner. For the first time, the Q&A session was held with the full participation of government members and representatives of all sectors, who tried to address deputies’ questions."
