National Assembly approves four laws

The 13th National Assembly passed four laws on June 19 during its on-going fifth session.

The four laws are the Law on National Defence and Security Education, the Law on Amendments and Supplements to a Number of Articles of the Law on Value-Added Tax, the Law on Amendments and Supplements to a Number of Articles of the Law on Corporate Income Tax, and the Law on Natural Disaster Prevention and Relief.

In the morning, the NA discussed the draft of the revised Law on Employment.

Twenty six deputies focused their opinions on state policies aimed at creating jobs and sending workers abroad, developing the labour market and providing unemployment insurance and job placement services.

On June 20, the deputies are scheduled to approve the 2011 state budget balance and debate the revised Law on Bidding. They will also adopt resolutions on the NA supervisory programme for 2014 and the government-level agreement on dealing with unplanned migration and non-registered marriage in areas along the Vietnam-Laos border.
