NA Standing Committee holds its 16th session
(VOV) - The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee opened its 16th session on March 18 to give opinions on eight draft laws and ordinances and prepare for the 13th legislature’s fifth plenum.
NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said the NA Standing Committee will focus on important issues such as value added tax, corporate income tax, fire prevention and fighting, emulation and reward, residence, thrift practice and wastefulness prevention as well as citizen reception and foreign exchange.

NA deputies will consider a project to renew the structure of NA agencies with a vote of confidence for positions elected or approved by the NA.
The NA Standing Committee will also spend one day directly questioning the Chief Judge of the People’s Supreme Court and the Minster of Education and Training on issues related to their management.
The question time is scheduled to take place on March 22.
